The Ant and the Dove
One hot day, a thirsty ant was searching for some water. After walking around for some time, she came to a crystal-clear spring. To reach the water, she had to climb up a blade of grass. While making her way up, she slipped and fell into the water. The ant was in great danger of drowning. A beautiful white dove, sitting on a branch of a nearby tree, saw the tiny ant struggling. Feeling sorry for her, the dove quickly plucked a leaf from the tree and dropped it into the water near the struggling ant. The ant moved towards the leaf and climbed up onto it. Soon, the leaf drifted to dry ground, and the ant safely stepped out. Not long after, a hunter nearby was throwing out his net towards the dove, hoping to trap it. The ant saw what the hunter was doing and quickly bit him on the heel. Feeling the sharp pain, the hunter dropped his net. The dove was alerted and immediately flew away to safety. The ant and the dove remained best friends forever. They both learned that a good deed never goes to waste.
